Hazem Ben-Gacem heads Investcorp’s European private equity activities and is also the Managing Partner of the Investcorp Technology Partners group of funds. He also serves on the Firm’s Operating Committee, Global Corporate Investment Committee, European Real Estate Investment Committee and the Financial & Risk Management Committee.

Hazem joined Investcorp’s private equity group in London in 1994 and, since 2012, Hazem has been tasked with leading the European private equity team. Under his stewardship, Investcorp has had its most active investment and realization period in Europe, acquiring ten businesses and exiting twelve, returning in excess of $3.0 billion to its investors. Prior to joining Investcorp, Hazem was a member of Credit Suisse First Boston's mergers and acquisitions team in New York.

In addition to his position with Investcorp, Hazem is the chairman of the board of the Italian luxury menswear Corneliani and the Norweigian telematics business Abax, the vice chair of the Danish luxury goods maker Georg Jensen and the Italian protective gear maker Dainese, and also serves on the boards of the Swedish ski helmet maker POC, the British anti-counterfeit solution provider Opsec and the US digital information provider kgb Inc.

Hazem holds a BA with honors in Economics from Harvard University and is the founder of the Harvard Office in Tunisia, the first formal presence for Harvard University in the Arab world. Hazem is currently a serving member of the national shooting team of Tunisia (50 meter rifle discipline), achieving a bronze medal in the 2017 African Shooting Championships and double gold medals in the 2010 North African Shooting Championships. Under the request of the Tunisian Prime Minister, Hazem has also served as the co-chairman of the Tunisia 2020 International Donor Conference, held in Tunisia in 2016.
